i am getting so mad with this game

i don't know if you guys are having the same problem but my game is freezing all the time when i play otp or just even offline and this eashl has been confusing with not keeping track of our record while some teams have over 4000 points already.i'm just frustrated.

As far as connection/freezing goes, I'm not sure. Check into your firewall.

well when i say freeze my whole xbox freezes i can't access the guide or anything,i'm not very computer smart so how do you check your firewall?

Is it freezing with any other games or only NHL 09?

Mine was freezing while playing MLB 2K8 just after I got it and I had to send it back, get it replaced. It sucked!! But they were really good about it, gave me an extra free month of live.

It got so bad that it was freezing while just loading the 360 logo when you turn it on, wouldn't even get past that. But if it works with other games, then maybe you should take your copy back to the store, tell them, see if you can get it replaced?

The trick with the freezing issue is to open the disk tray when starting your 360 like if you were putting the disk in. I think it has to do with the cache memory and it gets cleared when you insert a new game or simply open the tray. I had the same problem with 08 and since I've been doing that, no issues. I've taken the habit of doing that with every game and since then I can count on one hand the number of times my 360 has froze.

Another thing that is might fix the freezing is that your Hard Drive Cache might need maintenance. Go to the "Settings" menu on the Xbox dashboard, select "Memory", then highlight hard drive, press y. Then press X,X, LB, RB, X, X. Select yes. This could fix your freezing problem.
