Musical Taste
We already started a Metallica topic so Im interested to know what other bands you're into or what genres you're into?
My favourite bands are Pearl Jam, Iron Maiden, Mother Love Bone, Green Day (earlier stuff), The Offspring and I can basically listen to any metal, grunge, punk, alt. rock and some indie (but very picky when I hit indie)...
How about you guys?

Re: Musical Taste
well my favorite band is metallica but i also love linkin park ,godsmack, deftones, mudvayne, greenday, motley crew, def leppeard, and pretty much anything with a great guitar sound or rif,i hate dance music i know that it is good for at the club but i don't get what is so great listening to it with headphones on or something.i hat emost rap mostly just the gangster type stuff some rap is reaaly good and talented though.don't like most country but some is ok.don't like alot of punk music too slpoy for me i guess.one of my favorite bands right now though is my best friends they have a cd due out in may but until then they have 3 songs on their facebook page to listen too check them out their name is ISONIC.
i use to play guitar( i just don't have one right now that's why i say use to) and i was really into joe satriani then and steve vai and van halen.

Re: Musical Taste
Actually Gwen is back with No Doubt recording an album so all is well! She needs those guys cos she had an epic fail of a solo career IMO.

Re: Musical Taste
Flogging Molly and the Dropkick Murphys are among my favorites.
I generally like most rock music and the NHL 09 soundtrack from what I've heard is shaping up very well to my tastes.
I usually dislike rap, but being on a football team I've been trained to enjoy certain songs.
Favorite hockey song: Song 2

Re: Musical Taste
When it comes to music, I can really listen to anything.
But what is on my ipod is a lot of alternative, indie, punk, all that good stuff.
I've been a huge Format fan, but they've broken up.
The Killers, Manchester Orchestra, Dustin Kensrue, Motion City Soundtrack, I can make a mess like no ones buisness, Sherwood, Brand New, Jack Johnson, Dispatch,
And really anything on the NHL games soundtracks.

Game soundtrack
I posted this elsewhere, but I think this one will involve everyone when the game is released so I thought I'd put it somewhere more visible:
The 2009 unconfirmed soundtrack thus far, obviously a lot more songs unconfirmed, *s next to the ones I know for sure.
I put my rating next to it, personal opinion Wink
Airbourne (Australia) - "Runnin' Wild" (2/5, not a big fan of their songs, but that's just me, but better than 'stand up for rock n roll')
*Dr Manhattan (USA) - "Big Chomper, Big Chomper" (?/5, could not locate song, but likely electronic sounding)
*The Elms (USA) - "The Shake" (5/5, big fan of this one, just put it on my iPod)
Only place I could find it: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=12686683
Gob (Canada) - "Underground" (4/5, pretty good song)
*Johnossi (Sweden) - "Execution Song" (5/5, second favorite behind The Shake)
*The Kills (USA/UK) - "Cheap and Cheerful" (3/5, for some reason I don't see this one fitting with hockey)
*Millencolin (Sweden) - "Done is Done" (5/5)
Panic at the Disco (USA) - "Nine in the Afternoon" (4/5, not a fan of the band, the song is okay, but I just don't see it making the cut in this game)
More to come as information is released

Re: Musical Taste
My ipod is also pretty diverse, as far as my favorites...
Foo Fighters, Weezer, Cake, Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver, NIN, pretty much any early/mid 90's alt like Better Than Ezra, Lemonheads, Collective Soul, Matthew Sweet, etc. I am sure i could go on and on, as I routinely fill my 60gb ipod (well some of that is video).

That is Dr Manhattan's song.
Out of those, I vote "The Shake" though I'd like to see if there's more.

The Warriors of Time song in the demo is absolutely sick.
Good sign of things to come.

Yeah. I like that "Warriors of Time" and I could swear I've already heard it somewhere else... it sounds familiar to me... but I can't figure it out
