The headset Empty The headset

So I tried to send a voice message earlier and I have never used my headset before... and it confuses me!

It's this one: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemsetup/xbox360/accessories/headset.htm

I tried to record the message then listen to make sure it worked, nothing at all. Tried moving the switch, still nothing, tried changing the volume, still nothing. Am I missing something? Like I've said I've never used it before, but would like to.

the stock xbox mics are pretty fragile. Try hit the record button and wiggling the cord close to where it plugs into the controller. If you hear a static or click type sound on the play back your wire connection has come loose where it goes into the jack. Its a common problem. Like you said make sure your mic is on and volume up. Good luck, let me know what you find out.

Alright, thanks. I'll be testing this later, my girlfriend is watching Friends right now and I don't dare to take the TV from her all the time. lol. I'll let you know if it works though. Hopefully it will. I know it shouldn't be damaged. I've had it setting up pretty high since I got it, to keep it away from my sons.
